It’s over.

The No. 1 Penn State women’s volleyball team had it’s 109-match winning streak snapped Saturday night, as the Nittany Lions were dispatched by Stanford 3-0 (28-26, 25-12, 25-18) in the finals of the Nike Big Four Classic in Gainesville, Fla.

It is almost fitting that the streak was broken by the Cardinal, as Stanford was the last team to beat Penn State — all the way back on September 15, 2007.

On Saturday, the Lions posted a mere .091 hitting percentage.
