UH-V president resigns

Phil Castille became the eighth president of UH-Victoria in 2011.

Philip D. Castille has resigned as president of the University of Houston-Victoria, effective immediately.

According to a UH press release, he will return to the classroom and his tenured position as a professor in the College of Arts and Sciences.

UH System Chancellor Renu Khator has appointed Wayne Beran, vice president for administration at UH-V, as acting president. She plans to appoint an interim president and begin a search for a new president in the next two to three weeks.
