The Cal Poly women’s basketball team will see the return of recent graduate guard Ariana Elegado next season, as she will use her last year of eligibility as a graduate student after redshirting her freshman year.

Averaging 17 points per game last season, Elegado led the Mustangs in scoring and earned All-Conference first-team honors. She also averaged 4.5 assists per game, tying for the most in the Big West Conference.

After only three years on the court, Elegado is already No. 8 on the Cal Poly women’s basketball all-time scoring list. She also ranks third on the all-time assists leader board.

Elegado graduated last June with a degree in recreation, parks and tourism administration. She will continue her education with a concentration in sports management.
