San Luis Obispo has a great variety of restaurants to choose from, but here are the six most notable. Whether you want a light appetizer or a satisfying burger and fries, your next dinner location is featured below.

1. Firestone Grill

When family and friends are visiting, this is the place to go. Once they take a bite into the tri-tip steak sandwich, you might not be able to ever take them anywhere else for dinner. Be sure to order Firestone’s one-of-a-kind basket of fries. Yum!

2. Novo

The heated outdoor patio overlooking the creek and eclectic Asian fusion menu make this restaurant a local favorite.

3. Woodstock’s Pizza

Craving pizza? This is your go-to. If you aren’t completely satisfied with your main dish, test out the CinnaBread. It’s also a great place to watch the game. It’s a college hangout, yet still family-friendly.

3. Luna Red

Okay, we’ll let you in on a local secret. Luna Red has a killer happy hour for drinks and delicious foods you’ll love for only $5. There is often live music on the patio which pairs perfectly with your cebollas fritas.

4. Mother’s Tavern

We call it MoTav. In the heart of downtown, it’s family-friendly and has a variety of sandwiches and burgers. Try out “tot-night.” You won’t regret it.

5. Taj Palace

Looking for an authentic Indian food in San Luis Obispo?  Look no further! Taj Palace is just around the corner from campus, making it the perfect option after a long day of class.
