BYU’s The Wall

BYU clubs, events and even restaurants vie for students’ attention as the semester commences. They often skip past The Wall amid the first few weeks’ sensory overload.

The manager encourages students to check the establishment out, though. “It’s the ultimate student hangout. It is the place on campus to come and find a clean environment where you can enjoy yourself,” said Sterling May, manager of The Wall.

The Wall is the only place on campus where a live performance lounge and a restaurant exist. It provides plenty of space to relax, eat and even study. With high-quality food and nine large flatscreen TVs, The Wall appeals to football fans and food lovers alike.

“You’re not going to find any greater collection of huge HD screens on campus than here at The Wall,” May said.

The Wall’s focal point is its performance stage, hosting weekly events as well as special performances and shows.

“We have an open mic night for the new musicians to campus and a karaoke night for the people who don’t care how they sing,” May said.

Upcoming performances include Woodward Avenue, Studio C and even Stuart Edge. May asserted that The Wall is “the best place to eat, the best place to socialize and the best place to see performances. It’s just and all-round fun place.”

So whether students want an easy date night idea, a singing solo or even a study spot, The Wall satisfies.
