Stephen Colbert, the former late-night program host and incoming host of CBS’s Late Show, will deliver the university’s commencement address this year, according to multiple administrators.

This year’s commencement ceremony will take place on Hearn Plaza on May 18, 2015.

The six-time Emmy Award winner, who has also won two Peabody Awards and two Grammy Awards, is also a New York Times bestselling author.

In April, after David Letterman announced his retirement as host of the Late Show, CBS announced that it had tapped Colbert as his replacement. His world-famous late-night show on Comedy Central, The Colbert Report, ended on Dec. 18, 2014. Colbert will succeed Letterman on Sept. 8, 2015.

Colbert has delivered commencement speeches at Northwestern University in 2011 and at the University of Virginia in 2013.
