Chalk this position up as one of Oregon’s strengths this season. Last season, Byron Marshall — a 1,038-yard rusher in 2013 — played the majority of his snaps as a slot receiver. The result: 1,003 receiving yards, which led all Oregon pass catchers. Marshall slid into his role due in large part to Bralon Addison’s ACL injury last spring, which ended his 2014-2015 season before it began. In 2013, he was the team’s second-leading receiver with 61 receptions, finishing the year with 890 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Addison will likely be the number one wide receiver this year ahead of Dwayne Stanford, Darren Carrington and Charles Nelson, who may play mostly as a defensive back.
