Three Cougars competed as individuals for the women’s golf team at the Houston Baptist University Husky Invitational. They wrapped up the last day of the tournament with a Cougar in her debut performance setting the highest mark for the squad.

Sophomore Kailey Collier, participating in her first event as a member of the team, tied for 11th with a score of +16 over par.

Redshirt-sophomore Kelli Rollo shot a pair of 78s in the final two rounds to finish the event with a score of +21 over par, good enough for a tie for 21st.

Sophomore Maddy Rayner wrapped up for the Cougar competitors at the event, shooting +22 over the three days and tying for 24th.

With only three athletes competing, the Cougars were ineligible to compete for the team championship.

The Cougars only have one regular season event left, the Clemson Invitational in Sunset, South Carolina. From there, the team heads to the American Athletic Conference Championships in Palm Coast, Florida, looking to capture a conference title and a shot at the NCAA Regional playoffs.
