Notre Dame women knock off UConn to win Big East
What started as a close matchup between the No. 3 and No. 4 Big East foes ended in a 72-59 Notre Dame win – their first at the XL center and first outright Big East title for both the team and head coach Muffet McGraw. The first half was all about Stefanie Dolson and Tiffany Hayes.

St. John’s snaps UConn’s 99 game home win streak
UConn hadn't lost to an unranked team at home since 1993. They were on the path for their 100th home win. Tiffany Hayes was honored as she took the court for her last time in uniform at Gample. For the Huskies, and the lone senior Hayes, it would have been another staple in a decorated career.

No. 1 Lady Bears squeeze past Lady Raiders, 56-51
The No. 1 Baylor Lady Bears clinch a share of the Big 12 conference title with a 56-51 win over a physical Texas Tech team. Baylor proved it was more than junior Brittney Griner as junior Destiny Williams flashed to the offside block, open from the double and triple teams Griner was drawing.

In topflight battle, No. 1 Baylor defeats No. 2 UConn, 66-61
Brittney Griner scored 25 points and nearly notched a triple double as No. 1 Baylor surged in the second half to topple No. 2 Connecticut, 66-61, Sunday night at the Ferrell Center. Odyssey Sims added 23 points while Griner was only one block and one rebound away from the triple double.

Certified No. 1: Lady Bears beat No. 2 Notre Dame, 94-81
Solid defense, transition offense and finishing opportunities confirmed the No. 1 ranking for the Baylor Lady Bears as they edged off No. 2 Notre Dame for their first preseason WNIT championship win 94-81. Sophomore Odyssey Sims made the all-tournament team, as did the MVP junior Brittney Griner.
