Chair thrown through window at Sherman Ave. CVS

By Alex Rudansky

A man threw a plastic chair through a display window of the CVS on Sherman Ave. at about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, said Robert, a CVS employee who asked not to have his last name identified.

There were no injuries, he said. Evanston Police took one man into custody and the other escaped on foot. He said five policemen forced the man into the squad car.

The chair left a gaping hole in the window and shards of glass littered the sidewalk.

The CVS employee said two men started fighting at Starbucks across the street from CVS. The fight moved to Unicorn Café where a plastic chair was taken and a plastic milk carton was thrown into the windshield of a parked car, the employee said.

Police were on the scene quickly, he said.
