An armed robbery was reported in Iowa City early Wednesday morning.
Iowa City police responded to the 400 block of East Jefferson Street at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim — who was not injured during the incident — said that three black men approached him with a handgun demanding money, but he refused to cooperate, and the suspects fled north, according to an Iowa City police press release.
All three suspects were described to be teenagers, one in a red polo shirt and the other in a black T-shirt. Additional description could not be provided for the third suspect.
