U. Texas-Arlington student killed in car accident

U. Texas-Arlington sophomore Lauren Price’s body was identified July 16 after a fatal single car accident the day before.

At about 3:30 a.m. Thursday, witnesses described seeing Price’s car westbound on Interstate 20 near the Collins Street exit. The single occupant car went off the roadway and onto the shoulder, then struck the pole of a message board, Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said.

Price, 21, died at 3:58 a.m. of injuries sustained after the vehicle caught fire. Her body was identified the next day, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

Price began study at UTA in spring 2008, where she had completed 58 hours.
