Funeral services for former LSU outfielder Terry Belle will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Galilee Baptist Church in Shreveport.

Belle, 45, the twin brother of former LSU and Major League outfielder Albert “Joey” Belle, died Saturday in a car accident in Paradise Valley, Ariz.

The Shreveport native and former Huntington High School athlete hit .276 with 13 doubles, 11 home runs and 65 RBIs in 135 games at LSU.

Terry Belle earned three letters with the LSU baseball team and contributed to the Tigers’ first two College World Series teams in 1986 and 1987.

The Tigers finished fifth in the College World Series in 1986 and fourth the following year.
