But with the name and fame has come the heated debate about whether or not student athletes should be paid. Manziel was worth an estimated $37 million in “media exposure” alone last season and one can only imagine how much he will worth heading into next season. Manziel may be on the verge of changing the meaning of what it means to be a student athlete and it all begins with the the court awarding Manziel the right to keep all of the money that he wins in lawsuits starting now. The era of paid student athletes may seem like a distant dream, but Manziel is definitely on the right track to making it reality.

Adam Jude of the Oregonian reports that Artis is expected to be back for Thursday’s Civil War Game against Oregon State.
