Student assembly: President encourages students to advocate for restoration

– Interim President Jay Kahn recommended students to advocate and support governor’s Hassan budget proposal. The proposal will includes state restoration and will allow KSC to freeze in-state tuition.

-Dr. Kahn encouraged students to attend hearings that the House Finance Committee will host in Nashua, Concord, Claremont, Whitefield and Rochester in March.

– Director of Campus Safety Amanda Warman presented a reform in the parking policy. Campus Safety is evaluating the possibility of allowing first year students to park on campus.

– Student Assembly approved $540 for the Environmental Outing Club spring break trip, $1,082 for a tournament the Women’s Hockey Club will participate in, $6,980 for the Senior Class trip and $ 12,800 for Student Government to fund Carnival.
