Men’s Basketball
The University of Colorado men’s basketball team earned a No.10 seed in the NCAA tournament. They played No.7 Illinois on Fri., March 22 in Austin, Texas. They lost 49-57, ending their 2012-13 season. There are four teams left in the tournament, Wichita State, Louisville, Syracuse and Michigan.

Women’s Basketball
The University of Colorado women’s basketball team played at home on Sat., March 23 for the first round of the NCAA tournament. They played No. 12 Kansas and lost 52-67. This loss ended the women’s season. Kansas went on to play South Carolina for the second round and won, 75-69. The four teams left are Louisville, Notre Dame, Duke and Tennessee.
Tennis
The CU women’s tennis team finished their California conference trip, playing California, Stanford and San Fransisco. They lost to California on Fri., March 22, 0-7. They again lost to Stanford, 0-7, on Sat., March 23. They played San Fransisco on Mon., March 25 and were able to get two wins but still lost, 2-4. The team returned home and played Oregon on Fri., March 29 and won, 5-2.
Golf
Men’s golf finished eighth at the Stanford Intercollegiate competition. Sophomore David Oraee got a 3-under 67, his best score at CU, which put him at 22nd place. Senior Jason Burstyn and freshman Philip Juel-Buerg tied for 34th.
The Buffs will have their next tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz. on April 8-9. This is the final tournament before the Pac-12 Championships, which are a month away.
Track and Field
The track and field team participated in the Stanford Invitational on Fri., March 29. Redshirt freshman Connor Winter placed seventh in the 1,500 meter race, becoming the 13th fastest 1,500 meter racer in CU history.
Buffs also participated in field events in the Fum McGraw Quadrangular in Fort Collins on Sat., March 30. Junior Emily Hunsucker broke the University of Colorado’s hammer throw record and won the event. Sophomore Eileen Gehring won the 200 and 400-meter dashes. Joe Morris won the 400 and took second in the 200.
