Staff Art Adds Color to Penrose

Balloon bouquets, knitted fruit and homemade Renaissance dresses were among the surprises that met students in the lobby of Penrose Library after spring break. “Art Outside the Box” showcased 45 works of art by 29 Whitman staff members that ranged widely from paintings to jewelry to furniture and instruments. The exhibit ran from March 25 to March 30 and was organized by Whitman’s Personnel Advisory Committee. Pioneer photographer Catie Bergman brings us highlights.
