After several months of searching for a candidate, UCLA named Amanda Cromwell it’s new women’s soccer coach on Friday.

Cromwell was the head coach at University of Central Florida for 14 years, where she took the Knights to the NCAA Tournament 11 times.

She takes over for B.J. Snow, who left the Bruins in December after just two seasons. He took UCLA to the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and to the Elite Eight in 2012.

Cromwell played college soccer at Virginia, where she was a member of a team that went all the way to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. She also played professionally in the Women’s United Soccer Association and was a member of the U.S. Olympic team in 1996.
