Parking Structure 9 was reopened this morning, after a police investigation of a “suspicious package” did not uncover any danger, according to officials.
Just before 7 a.m. the the Los Angeles Police Department called in its bomb squad to investigate the package, said UCLA spokesman Steve Ritea.
Police recommended that people stay away from Parking Structure 9, located on Westwood Plaza, while they investigated the suspicious package, according to a Bruin Alert text message and email sent out before 7 a.m.
About 8:10 a.m. the area was cleared and the parking structure was reopened.
