With overall strong hitting and a three-run homer from Tyler Baumgartner, the Ducks beat the Pilots Tuesday afternoon, 11-7.
Oregon used a total of five different pitchers in the nine innings, with Jimmie Sherfy closing in the ninth.

Brett McMurphy of ESPN reports the official name of the four-team, college football playoff will be called … wait for it … the College Football Playoff; it starts at the end of the 2013-14 regular season.
