Ducks golf come in fourth at NCAA Regionals after round one

The University of Oregon women’s golf team concluded round one of play at the NCAA West Regionals in Stanford, Calif. this afternoon. In a pool of 24 teams, the Ducks managed to finish fourth after shooting an impressive 8-over 292 in their first of three days of competition. Edging out No. 1 ranked USC for the top stop was No. 7 ranked Vanderbilt who recorded a team best 5-over 289. 

Leading the way for the Ducks today was Casey Isagawa, who shot a  2-under 69 to finish in a tie for third place overall. Also finishing strong were freshman Caroline Inglis, who shot a 1-over 72, and sophomore Cali Hipp who shot a 3-over 74 to tie for 36th place.

On top of the individual leaderboards was USC’s Annie Park  who recorded a competition high 4-under 67, while Emilie Burger of Georgia recorded a 3-under 68 to trail in second place.

The Ducks will resume play tomorrow morning for the second round of play.
