Ducks golf preps for final round of play at NCAA Championships

The University of Oregon women’s golf team has concluded three rounds of play at the NCAA Championships sitting in 17th place heading into the final round of play. The Ducks (301-295-297-893) teed off at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga., this morning and shot a 9-over 297 as a team as they try to move up the rankings in the pool of 24 teams.

Leading the way for the Ducks once again this morning was Cassy Isagawa (75-71-70-216) who moved up a couple of spots to sit in a tie for 14th overall. Following Isagawa was senior Hanule Sky Seo (79-71-73-224) who recorded another eagle this round in addition to her hole-in-one in round two as she sits in a tie for 55th place overall. Rounding out the Ducks were freshman Caroline Inglis (74-77-77-228) and sophomore Cali Hipp (76-75-77-228), who both finished in a tie for 82nd place overall.

Along with her team being in first place on the team leaderboard, USC’s No. 2 Annie Park (70-67-70-207) moved  up in the standings at the conclusion of the round to sit atop of the individual standings. Tied for a very close second are Mississippi State’s No. 15 Ally McDonald (70-69-70-209) and Alabama’s No. 1 Stephanie Meadow (69-67-73-209) heading into the final round of play.

On the horizon: The Ducks will prepare for the final round of the four-day, four-round event tomorrow morning with an 8:25 tee time. For full recaps following the event, check back with the Emerald.
