WEDNESDAY, July 3
Trapt w/ Super Bob, Candlelight Red, Super 9 (Amos’ Southend, $13-15)
Trapt, the headbanging “Headstrong” rockers from California, have been at this since ’97. From that famous track from 2002, to their latest success single, “Bring It,” Trapt will definitely bring all they’ve got to Amos’ this Wednesday. Attendees who purchase tickets now online can even hang out with the band VIP style after the show, according to the band’s official Facebook page.
THURSDAY, July 4
4th of July Festival w/ Swear and Shake, Big Daddy Love, Keller Williams with More Than A Little (U.S National Whitewater Center, free)
Nothing beats some good American music for America’s day. And the best part is it’s free. And the U.S. National Whitewater Center will put on a memorable set of fireworks after the performances conclude when the sun goes down. (It’s recommended for visitors to arrive early, so sit down and enjoy some tunes before the sky lights up.)
Folk group Swear and Shake (pictured above) has shared the stage with the Lumineers and Delta Rae, while also performing at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin.
FRIDAY, July 5
Motorist w/ Tusker, Stone City, and Wolves&wolves&wolves&wolves (Tremont Music Hall, $8)
Motorist‘s heavy rock and light harmonizing vocals will make for a rockin’ good time at Tremont on Friday night. This Winston-Salem band has toured Anberlin, Coheed & Cambria. Motorist is a great listen for fans of those groups.
SATURDAY, July 6
Blu Avenue w/ One Small Step for Man, Kidnap the King (Snug Harbor, $5)
Fresh off their supporting performance at Speed Street this past May, Concord’s own Blu Avenue looks to liven up the Charlotte crowd once again this weekend at Snug with their more emotional rock melodies.
