The Oregon and UCLA football teams will meet at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on Saturday, Oct., 26 at 4 p.m.

In what is now being called the Pac-12 game of the year by numerous media outlets including ESPN, No. 2 Oregon and No. 9 UCLA will be competing for conference and national supremacy.

The last time the two teams faced each other was in 2011 when the Ducks defeated the Bruins 49-31 in the inaugural Pac-12 Championship game in Eugene. Oregon went on to defeat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl later that season to complete its 12-2 season.

The game will be hosted by either ESPN or ESPN2 and might host College GameDay if the Bruins defeat the 13th-ranked Stanford Cardinal and the Ducks defeat the Washington State Cougars this weekend.

This matchup will not only have Heisman trophy implications, but NFL implications as well. Oregon’s Marcus Mariota and UCLA’s Brett Hundley are considered the top-two NFL-ready quarterbacks in the Pac-12. 

But mainly, it will give Heisman trophy voters the opportunity to see two very good quarterbacks against two very good defenses while also giving the entire country the opportunity to see just how talented these two teams are.
