The win ended an eight-game streak without a victory.

Now Oregon (3-7-3, 1-3-1 Pac-12) will look to build on its success as it travels to Seattle to face off against the Washington Huskies.

The game Thursday is in Husky Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled at 7 p.m.

Washington (6-6-2, 2-1-2) is coming off a close 1-0 loss to Colorado in overtime — its first in conference play. The goal by Colorado ended an impressive 295 consecutive scoreless minutes for starting goalkeeper Megan Kufeld. Kufeld has 53 saves this season with a 0.76 goals against average.

The Ducks are led defensively by their own star goalkeeper, junior Abby Steele, who leads the Pac-12 in saves per game (4.85). The defensive four have also been stout. Achijah Berry, Gabbie Lindeman, Reilley Moore and Riley Smith have been impressive this season, allowing only eight goals over the last 10 matches.

Offensively, the goals for Washington have come from multiple sources as seven different players have scored this season. Becca Schoales leads the way with three.

Adding to its winning streak will require Oregon to find continued success from its attacking players. Both Miner and junior forward Bri Pugh will have to be aggressive in attacking the defensive line of the Huskies. Pugh leads the team in shots (42) and shots on goal (20), while freshman Miner leads the team in goals (3).

If the Ducks end up with a positive result, it will be the first time the team has beaten Washington since a 1-0 victory in 2006. The game last season ended with Oregon losing 2-0 to the Huskies.

After Thursday’s game, the Ducks will head back to Eugene to prepare for their final home series of the season as they host No. 10 Stanford and No. 9 California.
