Two meets in consecutive days  —before venturing to Waco, Texas to face rival Baylor— could’ve been the stretch to trip up the Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team. The Ducks however, stepped up to the challenge for their second straight meet.

After dominating in a tri-meet competition at Fairmont State University on Monday, Oregon made the short trip to Alderson-Broaddus University —a team the Ducks faced earlier this season— and defeated the Battlers by a final score of 282.250-251.250 on Tuesday.

“We were able to go out and improve on some of the mistakes that were made last night,” Ducks head coach Felicia Mulkey told GoDucks.com. “Our goal is to continue and improve and clean up the little things. I’m impressed with the team’s consistency in pyramid and team event, and our toss event continues to improve.”

The win marks the 28th straight meet victory for the Ducks. That isn’t the only streak that defines the consistent domination by head coach Mulkey’s program, though. Oregon has yet to lose an event this season and remains undefeated with just two meets to go before the national championships.

As it has been the entire season, the Ducks cruised from the beginning, due to another fast start. In the compulsory event, Oregon posted a score of 38.300 including an event high 9.95 in the pyramid heat.

The impressive showing in the pyramid heat of the compulsory event carried over to the pyramid event. In three heats, the Ducks had scores of 9.90, 9.95 and 9.85.

Oregon will face-off against Baylor this Saturday before heading to Azusa Pacific University for the final meet of the regular season.
