What is your dream job?

My dream job would be doing anything that keeps me helping and encouraging others. As I get older my dreams and aspirations continue to change, I can only wish that whatever I end up doing it keeps me happy.

Why are you at the UO?

When I was a freshman, 17 and homesick, I never would have thought I’d still be living in Eugene five years later. I am at the U of O because it has become my home. My friends, coaches and mentors have become my family and keep me inspired and challenged everyday.

How do you want to change the world?

I want to make the world a brighter place, I believe everyone does. The way I hope to do so is being a positive and vivacious attribute to any team, organization or work force I take part in. My hopes are high that I will be able to bring others along with me to continue to help others.

What has been the best part of your college experience?

The best part of my college experience has been being able to give back. Volunteering was not a huge part of my life before I came to the U of O and being submerged into a culture that focuses on community outreach has had a huge impact on me. I realized that giving back to the community was meant to be part of my life permanently and allowed me to be part of something that was bigger and more important then myself.

What are you proud to have been a part of at UO?

I have been proud to be part of so many things here. Being a student-athlete for 4 years and then a coach my fifth year for the Ducks has given me so many things to be proud of. The time commitments, the wins and the hard work is something that I will always remember and has allowed me to grow into a hardworking individual. I am also proud to have had such amazing teammates who have been with me for every part of my journey.

Outside of being an athlete, being part of the Service-learning program has given me the confidence and experience to lead off the field. The work we have done at the Fairfield Elementary After School Program is just amazing and I can not be more thankful for the opportunities I have received from being part of Service-Learning!

What are some of your goals after you earn your degree?

My goals are to keep working hard, and continue to find what makes me passionate. As a 22 year-old there is so much left for me to discover and find. My sort term goal is to experience as many things as possible until I find where my passions and abilities meet. I know I want to continue to help others in anything I do, I just need to be patient in finding where that may be.

Groups I am associate with:

Lacrosse team: Player for 4 years, assistant undergraduate coach (5th year)
Service-Learning: Fairfield elementary After School Program Site Coordinator
Order of the O: Intern for the Student-Athlete Alumni Association
