A University of Oregon student described three UO basketball players being forceful before sexually assaulting her in early March, recently released Eugene police records show.
In a letter, written on March 11, the student recalled being grabbed by the arm and led into a bathroom where she said Brandon Austin began having intercourse with her and Damyean Dotson forced her to have oral sex.
After leaving the bathroom, the woman said the players “dragged me to the bathroom and the same things happened again except now Dominic (Artis) was in the mix.”
At 1:10 a.m., a friend texted her, telling her she had to leave and that a ride was available.
“I told the guys this and immediately they became frustrated and were yelling and being mean,” the woman wrote. “I remember Brandon being most forceful. He was dragging me around and at one point put his arm around my neck to lead me back towards the house.
“I can remember them physically dragging me everywhere. I was simply following wherever I was being pulled.”
After getting into a cab with four other guys, not including the driver, the woman said they arrived at Artis and Dotson’s apartment where all five individuals went into Artis’ room.
“I remember them shutting off the lights and trying to kiss me and take off my clothes,” the woman wrote. “I told them I didn’t want to and held onto my shorts so they couldn’t take them off. But they took my shorts off anyways and the rest is kind of a blur.
“I remember them laughing and having a good time.”
The woman said that she wanted to run back to campus, but that she was not sober enough to make it home. After sleeping in Artis’ bed, the woman called Oregon Taxi and went home.
