What really happens on move-in day

Orientation is just a few weeks away, which means the class of 2018 is packing up suitcases and saying goodbye to high school friends. Moving to college can be intimidating, so here’s a run-down of what your first day on campus is going to be like.

When you first drive on campus, you won’t be able to contain your excitement.

Your parents will make inappropriate comments about the hot athletes that help move your stuff and you’ll be like:

But then you have to admit they’re really attractive, so you’re secretly like:

Didn’t you hear that Demon Deacons are really attractive?

Yes, we do agree.

When you first meet your roommate, you’re probably going to love him/her…

…but then they’re going to start pulling weird stuff out of their suitcases.

It’s all downhill from there.

When you see your first campus celebrity (those people who were hyperactive on the Class of 2018 Facebook page), you’ll be like:

At some point, the orientation staff will give you a ThinkPad, and your response will be:

Your ThinkPad will crash or malfunction so many times that you’ll do this by Thanksgiving break:

Meanwhile, you’re already snapchatting with your best friend from home.

And that’s how you know you’re going to stay friends.

Every one will be warning you about the parties.

If you do go out , you’ll stick to the few friends you have…

…and you’ll probably react like this:

Your parents will eventually have to leave, and it’s going to be sad — no matter how much you try to pretend otherwise.

But then you’ll realize that you get to spend the next four years here at Wake. What could be better than that?

Welcome to Wake, class of 2018!
