Incoming freshman guard Jaquan Lyle was removed from the Oregon basketball roster Tuesday night, according to ZagBlogs.
It was then later confirmed by the athletic department that the 6-foot-5 four-star recruit was indeed removed from the roster.
According to the first report, Lyle, who agreed to a Q&A with the Emerald in May, was cleared by the NCAA but was not admitted to the university.
Lyle tweeted this late Tuesday night:
I’m good, y’all! I promise, just wait!!
Whatever the circumstances may be, Lyle’s removal comes after 6-foot-9 Canadian power forward Ray Kasongo was denied admission. Kasongo is now enrolled at Southern Idaho.
