Visual artist William Murray has a talent for making the ordinary feel nostalgic and the familiar seem mysterious.
His vivid watercolor landscapes are thoughtfully composed meditations on the natural world, with subjects from St. Paul to Nova Scotia. More than 30 of these pieces will be on display in his upcoming exhibit, “Places I Remember,” at Minneapolis’ Groveland Gallery.
After serving in the Coast Guard on the Great Lakes, Murray earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
