As the warmth of daytime fades, smoke starts flooding Valleyfair and hundreds of monsters emerge from the park’s backstage to scare visitors.
During the nighttime, the attraction transforms into the “Halloween Haunt,” where about 400 costumed actors roam through seven mazes and four scare zones.
“[Guests are] paying for us to take it as far as we can go — or at least as far as the fire marshal will allow,” said Aaaron Glade, entertainment manager at Valleyfair.
