According to the American Kennel Club website there are a couple tips to keep a dog warm. One tip is to keep their coats regularly maintained. This allows the coat to be well insulated. If the dog is short-haired, then a sweater is recommended to help keep their temperatures and adorableness level up!

It is imperative to not leave dogs outside in the cold for long periods of time, especially on windy and rainy days. If they are left out, keep a close eye on their temperature to ensure their health is never at risk.

Another tip is to slightly increase the daily food intake so the dog can consume more calories. The added calories provide extra energy to help keep the dog warm and active.

Also, a healthy environment is the main factor in keeping a dog’s health up, so be sure to maintain a clean home. Be wary of uncarpeted areas because the floor can by very cold. Extra blankets and padding should do the trick to keep the area warm and comfortable.

These are the easy-to-accomplish tips that can keep a loving animal from life-endangering health risks. Heed this advice and all the dogs of the world will live happy and cozy lives!
