It’s never easy to cover a student’s death, but it’s even harder when it’s someone who has left an impact on campus in such a short amount of time.

At 18 years old, Lauren Jones, a University of Oregon freshman and acrobatics and tumbling athlete, passed away on Feb. 17.

Wise and Hoyt were some of the initial reporters who broke the news, and this episode shares their experience with reporting on such a sensitive subject, as well as some fond moments they learned about Lauren through her friends.
