Student cuts hand on saw at CAED support shop

University Police Department ( UPD) personnel, an ambulance and a fire engine responded to a call from the Cal Poly College of Architecture and Environmental Design supports shop at approximately 3:50 p.m. Saturday.

According to university spokesperson Matt Lazier, a student cut their hand on one of the shop saws and was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment.

There is no update on the student’s condition as of now, as much of his or her personal information is protected under Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
