The Cougars are headed to the Ocean Course at Hammock Beach Resort & Golf Club to compete in the American Athletic Conference Championships as a team for the first time in University history.
The Cougars are coming off of a fifth-place finish at the SMU/DAC Invitational in Dallas last week. Senior Courtney Ferguson lead the team with a 13th-place finish, followed by freshman Yuka Kajiki in 23rd-place. The Cougars look to place among the top of the leaderboards as the SMU/DAC Invitational included eight of the nation’s top 50 programs.
The AAC Championships begin Sunday at 7 a.m. with 18 holes per day through play on Tuesday. The Cougars see themselves ranked No. 49 in the nation heading into the weekend per the latest Golfstat rankings and will face off with No. 23 UCF, No. 24 Tulane, No. 47 SMU, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Memphis, USF and Tulsa to round out the conference.
