The Associated Press Top 25 poll saw a bit of movement after the third week of action in college football.
The American Athletic Conference has no teams ranked in the top 25, however, three AAC programs received votes for a spot in this week’s rankings.
The Cougars had the most votes, receiving 22 points in the polls this week and up six points from last week’s poll, putting them at No. 32 in the AP poll.
Despite a tough game against Northern Illinois University, The Ohio State University Buckeyes remain atop the polls.
Michigan State University, the University of Mississippi, Texas Christian University and Baylor University round out the top five in college football.
Ole Miss experienced the largest jump in the polls, moving into a tie for third place with TCU, a 12-spot jump from their previous ranking of 15.
The move came after beating the University of Alabama in a prime-time matchup on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The University of Southern California experienced the largest fall in the polls this week, after losing at home to the unranked Stanford University Cardinals.
USC dropped 13 spots from sixth in the nation to No. 19 in this week’s poll, the largest drop this season.
The Cougars look to avenge a season-opening loss to the Texas State University Bobcats back in 2012 when they return to action this Saturday at 7 p.m.
