Whip In Oktoberfest

The Whip In is celebrating Oktoberfest with contests, games and seasonal pumpkin beer on Monday starting at 4:20 p.m. Singer-songwriter Croy and the Boys will take the stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. but the event will run until midnight. Costumes are encouraged.

River Jones “Black Pearl” screening
Where: Cheer Up Charlies, 900 Red River St.
Time: 7 p.m.
Psychedelic rock artist River Jones will premiere his new music video, “Black Pearl” at Cheer Up Charlies Tuesday night. Live music will follow the screening.

Texas Radio Live: Jamie Lin Wilson, Brennen Leigh, Noel McKay
Where: Guero’s Taco Bar, 1412 S Congress Ave
Time: 6 p.m.
All ages are welcome to enjoy sets from three Texas artists during Texas Radio Live, held on Wednesdays at Guero’s Taco Bar. The event, presented by Sun Radio, will showcase Americana artists Jamie Lin Wilson and Noel McKay and bluegrass singer Brennen Leigh.

Blue Cabernet Comedy Night
Where: The North Door, 501 Brushy St
Time: 9 p.m. doors, 10 p.m. shows
The North Door will bring five local comedians to the stage Thursday night for Blue Cabernet Comedy Night. Doors open at 9 p.m., the show will begin at 10 p.m., and an open mic will follow the stand-up acts at 10 p.m. Drink specials will be available.

Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta feat. Pong, Hickoids, The Surlys, The Grundles

Time: 7 p.m.–12 a.m.
Instead of buying tickets to Austin City Limits Festival, check out Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta, a four-night miniature festival that showcases local and regional bands. The show Friday night will feature post-punk group Pong, country-rock band Hickoids, Austin-based rock group The Surlys and hardcore punk band, The Grundles.

Saturday Night Concert Series featuring Whiskey Shivers
Where: Hill Country Galleria, Hill Country Blvd.

Every Saturday night, all ages are welcome to relax and listen to live music on the lawn of the Hill Country Galleria’s outdoor amphitheatre. Austin-based folk band, Whiskey Shivers will take the stage this week at 7 p.m.
