I’m with UO campaign manager Andrew Dunn filed a grievance this morning claiming that One Oregon was actively phone banking to solicit votes on April 11. One Oregon was still under the elections board’s sanction, which barred the slate from campaigning until April 13, for attempted bribery.

One Oregon has shown that, time and time again, they are willing to violate the ASUO rules and not follow the directives of the governing bodies whose purview is to fairly run the elections of the ASUO,” the grievance read.

I’m with UO included two voicemails from One Oregon members and several written testimonies from five students reporting that the campaign reached out to them on Monday.

“Hi, Nick! I’m a student at the University of Oregon and I was just making calls for the One Oregon slate. We’re in a runoff election right now, and I wanted to remind you to vote today on DuckWeb. Our ticket is fighting for open source textbooks and bringing Uber back to campus. So, just remember to vote on DuckWeb and support One Oregon! Thanks! And go Ducks!,” one of the voicemails included in the grievance stated.

The grievance cited the ASUO 2016 elections rules, which state: “…failure to comply with the directives of the Elections Board is a major violation and […] intentional actions that obstruct the duties of the Elections Board are serious violation.”

One Oregon could not immediately be reached for comment this evening.

The elections board has until 10 a.m. on April 14 to rule on the grievance. The ASUO Constitution Court and university administration must also agree to remove One Oregon from the ballot.
