Residents of Cougar Place residence hall received an email Monday alerting them of a building-wide hot water outage. As of 11:41 a.m., maintenance workers were at Cougar Place investigating the cause of the outage, according to the email from Shaniqua Johnson, the Residence Life Coordinator for Cougar Place.

Students alerted Cougar Place staff of hot water problems Monday morning, said Bernice Cantu, the supervisor for Residential Desk Services at Cougar Place. Once staff became aware the incident was not isolated, they put in a work order to have maintenance fix the issue.

Cougar Place staff said they could not provide an estimate for when hot water access will return, but they hope to return hot water access to students by Monday evening.
