Georgia Highlands College’s Cartersville cafe fails food service inspection

Bartow County Public Health inspectors issued Georgia Highlands Carterville’s campus Marketplace an unsatisfactory score of 67 on Feb. 2, 2017.

Among the violations of the FDA Food Code noted in the inspection report are the following: improper cold food holding temperatures, toxic substance not properly stored and labeled, food items held past proper holding date, food items not properly labeled or in original container.

The Marketplace’s most recent prior inspection score was 95, which it received on Aug. 23, 2016.
