Power line falls across BART track in West Oakland, causing major delays

A downed power pole fell across a BART track in West Oakland about 8:20 a.m. Monday, stopping service for about an hour and causing major residual delays, according to BART spokesperson Chris Filippi.
The incident stopped all transbay service. BART finished removing the power line from the tracks and completed a safety inspection of the track about 9:30 a.m. Filippo said there were major residual delays after transbay service was restored.
“We’re getting back on track now,” Filippi said about 10:45 a.m.
