Senior linebacker AJ Hotchkins announced via Twitter on Monday that he leaving the Oregon football program and will look to play elsewhere in 2018.
Hotchkins, a starter to begin the season, suffered an injury the Arizona State game on Sept. 23 that has kept him out since. He transferred to the Ducks before the 2016 season.
He has 41 career tackles and recorded his only career interception during this season’s game against Wyoming.
Because he’s missed so much time, despite being a senior, he will be able to medically redshirt this season and retain his eligibility to play next season.
