UCLA was ranked the No. 1 public U.S. university in a ranking released Wednesday by the Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education.
The university was also ranked No. 25 out of more than 1,000 universities in the U.S. This is the second year in a row that the ranking designated UCLA as the top public university in the country.
The rankings are based on a set of 15 indicators that assess the quality of graduation and salary outcomes, campus diversity, resources allocated to academics and student services, and student engagement with faculty.
Three other University of California campuses ranked in the top 50, with UC Berkeley at No. 40, UC Davis at No. 46, and UC San Diego at No. 47.
