Rise and shine: How to wake up feeling like a billionaire
On Oct. 16, Kylie Jenner uploaded a video titled, “Official Kylie Jenner Office Tour” to her Youtube channel, and the “rise and shine” meme was born. In true billionaire fashion, she instantly capitalized on the meme by releasing $65 hoodies and trademarking the phrase. To honor Kylie’s “rise and shine” viral hit, we’ve compiled the four ways you can rise and shine to wake up feeling like a billionaire.
Drink celery juice
Jenner starts the morning off by drinking celery juice – 16 oz. of it to be precise. While celery juice’s health benefits aren’t widely known, this recent health trend emphasizes the fact that getting in your daily amount of vegetables is important, especially as college students who tend to revere the ramen noodle diet instead.
Wake up before 8 a.m.
With a baby to tend to and an entire makeup empire to run, Jenner wastes no time in the morning, making a habit of waking up prior to 8 a.m. Starting off your day early is a good tip to live by. After having to wake up for 8 a.m. classes from kindergarten to 12th grade, college students have become spoiled from the flexibility of university class schedules. Waking up earlier means you can go to bed earlier. This ensures that you get eight hours of sleep each night, which is vital to your health. Starting the day off bright and early will also improve your productivity and make it easier to sleep at night.
Get ready before eating breakfast
Surprise, surprise! Before eating breakfast, Jenner starts her day off by putting on her makeup. Although you may not have the full on glam squad that she has waiting at her beck and call, she has a point here. Brush your teeth. Wash you face. Make sure you have all your school essentials ready to go in your backpack. Select what you want to wear for the day. Then, sit down and relax with a fulfilling meal to break your fast.
Eat a protein-filled breakfast
Lots of students skimp out on breakfasts, claiming that they don’t have the time. Little do they know that breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, as it keeps you energized throughout the morning. Take a page out of Kylie Jenner’s book, who eats scrambled eggs, avocado and turkey bacon in the morning.
If you’ve been feeling unsatisfied with your morning routine lately, perhaps it’s time to learn a couple of tips and tricks from the youngest “self-made” billionaire.
