2nd Wells Fargo bank robbed within a week, no injuries
A second Wells Fargo Bank was robbed within a week Monday afternoon, according to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Officer Byron White.
Officers responded to Wells Fargo Bank on 1800 Solano Avenue at 4:22 p.m. for a robbery, according to White. One suspect entered the bank and demanded money.
No weapons were seen and no one was injured, White said in an email. Witnesses described the suspect as a 40 to 50-year-old Black male about 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall, wearing a gray shirt and blue sweatpants.
