The Wisconsin native played four seasons for William & Mary and has started every game for the past three seasons for the Tribe. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 16.2 points per game for the 2020-21 season while shooting 43.6%. He also averaged 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
Loewe isn’t the best career 3-point shooter, but in his junior season he shot a career-best 43.9% from deep. This past season, it dropped to 29.8%, which is still higher than the Gophers’ 28.4% three-point average. In 2020, Loewe made the Colonial Athletic Association All-Defensive team.
This is the second incoming transfer head coach Ben Johnson has been able to bring in. Johnson has lost seven players from last season, but has already started to make out his team for next season.
It also appears sophomore Isaiah Ihnen confirmed he will be staying in Minnesota after a tweet Thursday.
