He is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and the Adidas Top Ten All-American Selection Committee.

Miller has coached 16 All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) honorees, the most recent of which was Cece Hooks, who was also named the 2022 MAC Defensive Player of the Year.

“I am excited to be a part of this coaching staff and get to Minneapolis,” Miller said in a news release. “I’m so thrilled to get the chance to learn more about the game from a Hall of Famer. This position is truly a dream come true for me.”

Before starting his career in coaching, Miller earned an associate of arts degree from Columbus State Community College in 2008 and a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Franklin University in 2012.

Prior to his position at Ohio, Miller served as the offensive coordinator at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania, where the team averaged 74.5 points during the 2016-17 season and produced the 2016 Northeastern Conference Freshman of the Year.

Marwan will represent the University of Minnesota on and off the court with a vast knowledge of the game of basketball,” Whalen said.
