The Yes Fest music festival is coming back to ODU this January.
First held in March 2023, the Yes Fest was created by Arts@ODU and event promoter LAVA Presents as an opportunity for local bands to hold performances and ODU students to be exposed to the Norfolk music scene. Yes Fest is a fantastic start to the 2024 ODU art scene with opportunities to experience local talent, international artists, and the talents of ODU student artists.
This year’s lineup includes a variety of musicians and bands with different music styles, including jazz and hip-hop, rock, rap, country, and more. The lineup was described as “a little bit of everything” by LAVA Presents owner Josh Coplon.
Yes Fest will occur on Jan. 13-14 from 5:45 to 9:45 p.m. Performances will be at the Goode Theatre and the Gordon Art Galleries.
The Saturday lineup includes Warrington, Tyler Donovan, Demons, Nickelus F., and Horse Jumper of Love in the Goode Theatre and Cor De Lux, The Warm Hug, Shormey, Ésme Patterson, and Ruth Good at the Gordon Art Galleries. The Sunday lineup includes Soft Plan, Shagwüf, Allen Hudson & The Halfmoons, Sunny and Gabe, and Butcher Brown in the Goode Theatre and Jacob Vanko, Koren Grace, Eras, Destructo Disk, and North Bloom in the Gordon Art Galleries.
Norfolk Zine Fest and ODU student artists will hold a vendor market during the event.
ODU students, staff, and faculty can receive discounted 1-day or 2-day passes to Yes Fest by going here. The general public can get their tickets here.
