The Daily Trojan‘s Spring 2024 staff photographers present: The Weekly Frame, a photo series that hopes to highlight the unique experiences that come with being a Trojan. For the inaugural installment of this series, photo editor Jordan Renville set out to capture everyday life on USC’s campus through the lens of motion.
In a time where day-to-day life can feel like a non-stop blur, the idea of movement and specifically slowing down that movement to a single frame can seem daunting. This week’s prompt of “motion” challenged me to think about the often overlooked moments of traveling to class or waiting at a stop light where movement is all around us. When we slow down and take a second to realize that the people we see on our daily journey are also on the same path as we are, we can then be one step closer to coming together as one, as a community.
